Redefining HYROX Training: Inside Third Space Canary Wharf Studio
At IndigoFitness, we pride ourselves on creating training spaces that push boundaries and set new standards. One of our most visually striking and technically advanced projects to date is the HYROX Studio at Third Space Canary Wharf. A studio space designed to inspire athletes, elevate training experiences, and future-proof HYROX performance.
The Vision
Third Space challenged us with a clear and ambitious brief: “create a next-level HYROX training space that matches our reputation for aesthetics and innovation.” This wasn’t about a typical studio space, it was about designing a purpose-driven environment that perfectly blended elite functionality with a premium, immersive atmosphere.
The Design
At the heart of the studio sits a custom-designed HYROX rig, complete with mounted throw targets, integrated lighting, and a central branded light box that anchors the space. Strip lighting mounted to the rig aligns with ceiling fixtures and turf lanes, delivering powerful visual impact while enhancing the training flow.
To maintain both form and function, we developed custom storage solutions for wall balls, sandbags, kettlebells, dumbbells, and plates. Each unit was carefully positioned, centrally aligned with signage, fitted flush to wall widths, or discreetly integrated behind pillars, maximising space while keeping the space uncluttered.
Flexibility was also essential. Portable grapplers and plate storage racks were added to allow trainers to adapt layouts to evolving programming and athlete needs.
Technology That Elevates Training
This HYROX studio isn’t just visually stunning, it’s smart. The rig’s throw targets have been engineered with integrated technology that tracks every rep and displays results live on wall-mounted screens. This innovation transforms training into a data-driven experience, enhancing motivation and accuracy for athletes of all levels.
Built to Last, Designed to Evolve
The studio is already ahead of comparative HYROX training spaces thanks to its technological integration and design innovation. But just as importantly, it has been future-proofed. The modular rig and storage solutions can easily be expanded, reduced, or reconfigured as HYROX programming and client needs evolve over time.
