3 Ranger Regiment, sought to completely overhaul their training facilities to better meet the demands of their specialised operations. The Regiment, consisting of four Special Operations Capable battalions, required a training space that could accommodate their rigorous training needs while promoting efficiency, flow, and accessibility.
3 Ranger Regiment’s current training facility was a traditional gymnasium. The sports hall had no flow and the format for group sessions was neither time or training efficient. The gym equipment was stowed away in lockers, cupboards and containers outside. If a training session was on, it meant others could not utilise the space or equipment.
To address the challenges faced by 3 Ranger Regiment, IndigoFitness proposed a comprehensive gym design, gym equipment and gym flooring solution aimed at enhancing training efficiency and optimising space utilisation.
IndigoFitness worked closely with 3 Ranger Regiment to redesign the layout of the training facility. This involved organising equipment placement, creating designated training zones, and implementing storage solutions to streamline access to gym equipment. By optimising space, the regiment could maximise the available area for training activities while ensuring efficient flow and accessibility.
There were a number of custom gym equipment solutions tailored to the unique training requirements of 3 Ranger Regiment. This included specialised strength and conditioning equipment, functional training tools, and storage solutions designed to enhance training. By kitting out the facility with state-of-the-art training gear, the regiment could elevate their training standards and achieve optimal performance outcomes.

It’s going to be massive. We’ve already hosted a British Army Warrior Fitness event here. It was a resounding success and that was solely down to the space, the kit and equipment we had avalible. It really now sets the scene of what a quality gym and set up looks like.

It’s seen already, they know this is their gym. It’s all personalised for them. And it’s all in aid to help their physical wellbeing, mental health and human performance.
