West Wood Club partnered with IndigoFitness to reinvent an underused training space and transform it into a dual‑purpose Les Mills Ceremony & Conquer studio. This project required strategic design thinking, space optimisation, and bespoke British manufacturing to create an inclusive, high‑performance space suitable for mixed demographics and evolving community demand.

The Situation

West Wood needed to introduce Les Mills Ceremony and Conquer programming, but the available footprint was challenging, outdated and not fit for purpose.

Their goals included:

Creating a dual‑use studio capable of hosting two high‑intensity programmes without compromising safety, flow or member experience.
Transforming a difficult footprint into an inclusive, high-quality group training space.
Leveraging IndigoFitness’ bespoke capabilities to build a studio aligned to West Wood’s brand and operational needs.

The Solution

IndigoFitness delivered a complete training space transformation.

1. Bespoke dual‑programme layout

We designed a studio capable of hosting both Les Mills Ceremony and Conquer classes in a single footprint by engineering custom rigs and smart spatial planning. This maximised floor usage without overcrowding and ensured the room could flex depending on programme requirements.

2. Safe and intuitive member flow

Custom manufactured walkway screens created clear entry/exit routes and protected circulation lanes, ensuring the space felt organised, safe, and easy to navigate even at peak times.

3. Flooring engineered for performance and protection

To support diverse group activities and deliver long-term durability, we installed:

PaviFlex 32mm Beast (Carbon Black): high-impact absorption, premium feel, and strong aesthetic identity.
16mm premium turf with shockpad: enhancing comfort, acoustic performance and programme-specific functionality.

4. Designed for mixed demographics & high usage

Every design choice considered:

-Layout flexibility to serve both structured classes and open access

5. Personalisation & Branding

Custom colours were selected to precisely match West Wood’s teal brand identity, and stainless steel West Wood logos were integrated to add a premium finish. These personalised details elevate the member experience and help create a space that truly feels unique to the club.
