IndigoFitness are delighted to announce a new three-year partnership with one of the most inspiring UK sporting charities. IndigoFitness are a UK based gym design and equipment manufacturer and will be the official strength and conditioning partner to The Matt Hampson Foundation.

The partnership will see IndigoFitness supply a wide range of RAZE strength and conditioning equipment and create a new outdoor Kenguru Para Park for the Foundation’s beneficiaries.

As well as creating the Kenguru Para Park, IndigoFitness will also provide some additional equipment for the Foundation’s current gym to enhance the already cutting-edge centre. The Matt Hampson Foundation will work with the IndigoFitness design and manufacturing team to further develop and test new products for disabled users.

The partnership is the formalisation of a long-standing relationship with the Foundation and the Sales Director at IndigoFitness Gary Oleinik. This has seen Gary supply gym equipment and personally support the charity for the last six years and gives Indigo a platform to showcase its product quality and gym design expertise in an inspirational environment.

Founded in 1996, with its HQ in Warwickshire, IndigoFitness are gym design specialists and proud British manufacturers of strength and functional training equipment. The team at Indigo are passionate about quality, performance, and creating amazing training spaces – environments that allow their clients and partners to train and perform at their best.

Gary Oleinik at IndigoFitness said “We are delighted to announce our partnership with The Matt Hampson Foundation, a truly unique organisation changing people’s lives. We look forward to working with them on the continued development of their Get Busy Living Centre, helping to enhance the lives of those within their community. It’s great to officially be part of the Hambo family.”

The foundations CEO Tommy Cawston said “Gary is a long-term supporter of The Foundation and to have him spearheading this exciting new partnership is fantastic. We can’t wait to see the impacts of the alliance with IndigoFitness on our beneficiaries and see how they progress through 2021 – our tenth anniversary year.”

The Matt Hampson Foundation – Get Busy Living Centre

The Matt Hampson Foundation inspires and supports young people seriously injured through sport through its Get Busy Living Centre in rural Leicestershire. The centre provides expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, support, mentoring and advice to people suffering a life-changing injury.

The centre’s doors were opened in 2018 and is the brainchild of founder and ex-England and Leicester Tigers rugby player Matt Hampson, who himself experienced a life-changing injury in 2005 leaving him paralysed from the neck down, aged just 20.

Building a sense of community is central to the Matt Hampson Foundation. In the aftermath of an incident which leads to a life-changing injury most people and their families feel isolated with an overwhelming sense of loss for what has been taken away from them.

By becoming part of the community that Matt has created, beneficiaries of the Foundation are able to draw on the experience and knowledge of people who have been on the same journey. They develop the tools and skills they need to move on as they start to rebuild their lives. The centre becomes a place where they can feel normal again and be part of a strong and active social scene as they retrain themselves to focus on what they can do – not what they can’t. It’s a really special place.

Eventually, beneficiaries progress to the point where they become the ones providing the support to others. This in itself is a huge part of their rehabilitation and being able to help others provides a real sense of purpose and identity.

The Foundation helps people get busy living again after a life-changing injury -whether it’s helping them get back into sport or supporting them in adapting to their new life.
