Leeds Rhino’s needed a partner who could come in, assess the damage, remove the flood damaged equipment and then work closely with them on developing a new training space, all in a very short timescale. Jason has a long relationship with the team at Indigo and knew they were the right choice. He said “I’ve worked with the team at Indigo over a 10 year period, including on two complete gym refurbishments. What makes them different is having a true end to end approach – they can design a training space, manufacture equipment, advise on correct flooring specification and complete the full installation – so I knew I could approach them with this project.”
Indigo immediately got to work on clearing out the flood damaged equipment, completing assessments on every piece and refurbishing where possible. They then got to work on the requirements of the new space, working closely with Jason to make sure the vision was realised.
Jason chose DuraTRAIN rubber flooring tiles as the main flooring solution. Their superior noise and vibration reduction properties made them ideal for the heavy use strength training areas, and because Indigo were able to integrate the lifting platforms directly into the tiles it created a seamless training surface with no trip hazards, plus removed the need to purchase separate lifting platforms. The flooring was completed with a 20m functional track, complete with bespoke markings and full colour Leeds Rhino’s logo.
