IndigoFitness recently collaborated with premium fitness operator Third Space on another location, Third Space Wimbledon. This new location marks the beginning of a strategic expansion into residential areas for the high-end luxury gym and health club. This project aimed to redefine luxury fitness experiences for Third Space members by crafting bespoke equipment solutions tailored to their unique needs.
The Situation
IndigoFitness’ approach to design was to consider the use of each training space and make this align with a luxury fitness experience.
Third Space faced several challenges that prompted them to seek IndigoFitness’ expertise:
- Need for an acoustic performance floor designed to significantly reduce noise and vibration. IndigoFitness designed spreader plates to support equipment and ensure functionality on the gym floor.
- Working with and around existing architecture to maximise functionality, especially with the Yard Rig, wall and ceiling fixed, and column storage.
- Creating storage solutions for small equipment and accessories to maintain gym floor aesthetics and ensure a place for everything.
The Solution
The Third Space Wimbledon club boasts an impressive array of facilities tailored to cater to the needs of its members. Standout features IndigoFitness created include the cross-functional training area known as The Yard, the strength area racks and accessories, the signature HIIT studio storage, the turf rig training area and an array of other kit including bespoke benches and custom storage.
To address specific challenges, IndigoFitness provided a comprehensive solution, offering expert guidance on technical aspects like spreader plates and ceiling fixings to guarantee optimal functionality of the equipment.
IndigoFitness collaborated closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to seamlessly integrate the equipment within the existing space.
Storage solutions were carefully crafted to maintain a clean gym floor while efficiently accommodating a diverse array of equipment and accessories.
Special emphasis was placed on maximising Third Space branding and aesthetics across all equipment elements, ensuring a consistent and attractive fitness environment.
